Last week in sunday school, the lesson was about politics. I was excited to see what people in my ward thought about politics because I feel not enough mormons pay attention or care about their government to the extent they should as Latter-Day-Saints.
I was impressed with probably one or two comments but saddened to find out how many think the way to participate in politics is to be in PTA and vote. There is so much more we should be doing. We know what's right, what's wrong, who's corrupt, who's not. Seriously, do some research, find out what YOU think about how the government should be involved and find a politician who agrees with your views. Not just someone who has a nice face or is part of your church or is of the same race. If you can't find someone who represents YOU, YOU represent YOU. You are the people and you have a say in how the place you live effects your life.
This turned into quite the rant, I didn't mean it to. Thanks for any additonal thoughts or opinions you may have concerning this matter.
