Interpreting it biblically will inevitably produce a low standard. I think the higher law would include various denouncements of evil. I wonder if I was guilty of this towards Bush.

I coded the wordpress theme when Firefox 3.1 had barely been released, which was when they first introduced @font-face support. 16% of my visitors are still using Firefox 3.0 so I don't particularly want to change it yet. On sites where Firefox <=3.0 is a miniscule percentage I have moved to @font-face and I definitely prefer it. But the canvas elements aren't in the source, they're autogenerated. Anyway, firefox 3.0 is the new IE6. Thankfully I've moved on from that and ff 2 and 3 are rapidly disappearing.

At first I was shocked, because the church doesn't use Flash, and that site was too ugly (that big H really bothers me). Then I realized it wasn't an official site. The church smart enough to hire top-notch designers like Cameron Moll who care about web standards. Now that the [Nivo](http://nivo.dev7studios.com/) and [Coin](http://workshop.rs/projects/coin-slider/) sliders are out, there isn't much reason to use Flash these days, aside from video and games.

This article is completely ridiculous. In addition to her logic fallacies and self-contradictions, she extrapolates doctrine that doesn't exist. My wife got this link from facebook and was fairly repulsed by the article. I'm glad she doesn't feel the need to feel superior to me as I don't to her. What's wrong with equality? Equality, by the way, is still hard to argue in the context of plural marriage and the ability to hold the priesthood.

I know I personally won't be deploying any mass storage on btrfs for at least a few years. Heck I'm not even confident in ext4 yet for critical applications. ZFS is tried and proven but you're right, people are waiting around for btrfs. That's fine for the desktop but not the enterprise. I just suggested it because you could probably have more active involvement working on a BSD kernel than you would on linux.

I read part of that thread. You have an interesting thought about moving to Missouri now. Have you done this? I know D&C 52:42 commands to build up Zion in Missouri, but subsequently a commandment was given by Brigham Young to leave Missouri for Utah. More recently it's been taught that Saints should build up Zion in their home countries. That is a specific command not to go to Missouri. I believe I'm supposed to be spreading the gospel in my local area as well, even though I don't live in a foreign country. I personally would love to move to Missouri and live the law of consecration with the saints. I can't tell you how much I would love to leave the world behind and live in Zion. I feel like I am essentially biding my time right now. But I know it's not the right move for my family right now for financial reasons, and I do believe I'm choosing the right by staying where I am and being an example to my neighbors. Thoughts?

I think you're basically right, but I would add that most saints today are probably not _ready_ to prepare their hearts and minds for that eternal law. I think the stepping stone to that is preparedness for the complete fulfillment of the law of consecration, and most are pretty far away from that as well. You don't hear a prophet talking about preparing for plural marriage because we're just not ready for it. But I think at some point that will happen. I think it's safe to say that once people are ready and living the law of consecration, they will be much more open-minded to other higher eternal laws. In a sense, I think it's fine for them not to worry about it if it's going to give them doubts and fears. Milk before meat.

Do you write modules/apps that integrate with ERP and MIS systems? I have managed several integration projects over the last couple of years and man, there is nothing I hate more than two vendors that are supposedly following the same spec but whose software doesn't work with each other. They both point the finger at each other. In the end it's up to me as the PM to delve deep into the spec, even though I'm not even a programmer, so I can figure out who's right and who's wrong and make them fix it. Tell me you're not one of those guys.

Know much about the BSD kernels? With linux slowing down and being less efficient, and zfs in the BSD kernels, I'm starting to think they're the future, especially FreeBSD due to the debian/kFreeBSD project. I bet there is more room for contributors in that space anyway.
