gepPetto pizza bar

By Tehila at The Zion List

We've driven the winding road to Tsur Hadassah more times than we can count. By the time we arrive at Geppetto's, we feel like we've slipped back into the foothills of Colorado, our pre-aliyah home. The street where the shady café sits is lined with quirky, Hobbit-style homes you wouldn't expect to see in Israel. We've never explored any other part of town because we like imagining this little corner is all there is.

We usually go late Friday morning and linger over wood-fired pizza, colorful salads, and iced coffees before meandering through the neighborhood, wishing we could stay a little longer. On our last visit, our teenage son declared it the best pizza he's had in Israel, which, considering how much pizza that kid has eaten, is the only review needed on the subject.
