gepPetto pizza bar - IL
By Tehila at The Zion ListWe've driven the winding road to Tsur Hadassah more times than we can count. No matter which direction you come from, you’re above the fray in the glorious foothills. By the time we arrive at Geppetto's, we feel like we've slipped through a portal back to Colorado, our pre-aliyah home.
The street where the shady café sits is lined with quirky, Hobbit-style houses you’d never expect to see in Israel. In fact, it’s so whimsical that we purposely haven’t explored any other part of town because we like imagining this little corner is all there is.
We usually go late Friday morning to lounge over wood-fired pizza, colorful salads, and iced coffees before meandering through the neighborhood, always wondering if one of these houses doubles as an Airbnb.
And then there's the food. On our last visit, our teenage son declared it the best pizza he's had in Israel. Considering how much pizza that kid has eaten, we can trust his judgment.
