third ear records- IL
By Beatrice at The Zion ListIf vinyl records were roses, band posters were sunflowers, and band tees were begonias, then The Third Ear (האוזן השלישית) would be Tel Aviv's lushest garden.
The Third Ear is what I can only describe as a genuine emporium of music, with roughly 50,000 (yes, that’s four zeros) vinyl records, CDs, and DVDs spread generously across three floors. There's even a small corner on the top floor where record players are sold.
I know what you're going to say: "What if they only have Hebrew music?"
No. No, they do not.
Not only do they have approximately a bajillion records, but they span countless genres, artists, and decades. ABBA? Yes. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones? Also yes. The Ramones? Obviously. Taylor Swift? Yes, even her.
Don't worry, though. There's also no shortage of Hebrew music. And don't even get me started on the absurdly knowledgeable staff.
All I'm saying is that if you're a music enthusiast exploring the Dizengoff area, run. Don't walk.
