alpaca farm - IL
By Tehila at The Zion ListSometimes I stumble across a place and think, wait, is this real? Then immediately start rearranging my schedule to figure out when we can go.
The Alpaca Farm is one of those places.
First, a little background. Years ago, I had the unique opportunity to work on a llama farm. I helped care for those curious, confident, and sometimes unwieldy creatures, spent weekends housesitting when the owners were away, and even got to assist with the birth of a few babies.
So when I discovered a farm in the Negev complete with yurts and cabins, wide desert skies, and what appears to be a cast of highly entertaining alpacas, I knew it belonged on The Zion List.
Spend a few minutes on their social media and, besides watching alpaca antics longer than intended, you'll get the feeling that the people behind the farm are genuinely in love with what they've built. And why wouldn’t they be? The farm offers alpaca and llama encounters, overnight stays, retreats, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to slow down and enjoy a side of Israel most people will never see.
This one is more than on The List, it’s on the itinerary.

Why It’s On The List: Because an alpaca farm with yurts in the Negev sounds too “only in Israel” to pass up.
